FIRE TABLES FAQ

How much do the tables weigh?

They range in size from 150 pounds to 550 for a large table.  Depending upon size a small table can easily be half the weight of a large one.

Propane or Natural Gas- what if I want to hook up to house?

Although they come rigged with propane they also include both fittings so if you are hooking to a house the natural gas orifice is included, just unscrew it from the hose and put the natural gas orifice in.

Is the wind guard necessary?

Yes and no, our design is such that the tables should not get hot rather stay cool to the touch, the heat goes up.  If wind blows the flame over the stone it could result in a burn to you or eventual damage to the rock.  We ask that you use your better judgement and if it is windy turn it down, or use your wind guard if its on high and especially when windy.  We’ve found that from most of our clients the wind guard becomes another unique feature to an already great fire table.  Basically if it is Windy or you are burning high heat use the guard, if you are burning a low flame on a calm night feel free to take it off, but if the stone is hot to the touch, change something-turn it down, put the wind guard on.

How are they shipped?

We’ve found the best way to ship these is on a pallet, with base on top.  They come wrapped in carpet and padding with the base on top.  Simply take the base off and place it in its place and then take the table.

How do I move or transport my fire table?

Most of the time there is no substitute for manpower.  However we’ve found that sliding them out of a truck onto a wheel barrow works well in most instances and can then be wheeled to the back yard and slid off onto a base without really lifting. Usually the old saying work smarter not harder definitely applies!

What is the warranty?

We offer a one year warranty against defects on our tables, bases, and burners, however we have sold hundreds nationwide and have yet to have one come back.  People simply love them, and the conversations, joys to be had, are endless.

FIRE ROCKS FAQ

Is there a base?

Nope. The rock is the base and the main table feature.

What do they weigh?

Our large fire rocks generally are between 1000-3000 pounds and sliced at approximately 16”.  We’ve found this is a great height because you can view down on the stone and still recoup the heat.  The larger heights tend to add a tremendous amount of weight, and with the flame heights sometimes approaching 2.5 ft we’ve found the lower heights more advantageous.

How should they be hooked up?

These should be installed by a licensed contractor or plumber but the install is fairly easy with simple plumbing and valves.  They light similar to a grill, with a valve installed next to the rock just turn it and light.

Where should we put the key valve?

I usually recommend putting the key valve in the patio, or on a nearby wall.  You want it close enough to be able to turn it on and then quickly light.  We also have side drilled these with the key valve in the rock.  This requires a little bit more accuracy from your plumber and setting the rock but a very unique upgrade.
